  It is interesting how designer after designer brings up Princess Diana, Audrey Hepburn, or Grace Kelly as their style icons. Yes, they are — but these are public figures who had personal shoppers and stylists, a whole team advising them, shopping for them, making selections on their behalf. Every designer knew: if one of them wore his or her piece, it would become famous. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of people were involved. Each of these famous figures was choosing from what had already been curated for them specifically.

  To me, Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Princess Diana all had the same quiet elegance. They don&apos;t try too hard but are always elegant. It&apos;s in the way they carry themselves.

  Proportion. &nbsp;You’re the first designer that mentioned that. &nbsp;I am high waisted. &nbsp;I prefer wearing my tops tucked — skirts/pants. &nbsp; With being high waisted I look bottom heavy. &nbsp;Put a collar on my belt. &nbsp;I don’t feel comfortable with the look and I don’t know how to fix it. &nbsp;O like classic and structured looks. I still have Marshall fields in my closet and casual corner. &nbsp;They will never go out of style

  In private, Miss Hepburn wore classic clothing which fit her fragile frame without jewelry and always looked elegant; one of my favorite photographs was of her in a white shirt and jeans when she was UN Ambassador. &nbsp;Her smile was radiant &nbsp;but I think she may have been hiding her stomach pain from the children she was visiting.
