Fellow Chinese immigrant here. Moved to Texas after graduate school and was offered a job to stay. I have to say, I love Texas more everyday, now even more than my home city of Shanghai. Nothing match the prosperity and cheap living. Wasn't a big fan of BBQ when I first came to Texas, but 14 years later, I'm a true bear chugging, brisket ripping, yee-hawing Texan. Married to a fellow chinese student met during graduate school, and able to save and invest so much because of the affordable living which just compounds better than what our mathematically Asian minds had projected, life is good! Glad you can join the local scene. Hook'em horns!

I’m a third generation Texan. Thanks for this video. My dad has passed away, but he smoked the best brisket ever. This absolutely brought it back to me.

that plate from Interstellar was probably in the $125-$150 range. It ain't cheap.

I'm glad they kept the duck on the menu. Back when they were "The Noble Pig" they had a duck pastrami sandwich that was amazing.
