  I worked for two years with Karl and one day I had been waiting for the designs which hadn't appeared, the team was trying to keep busy but he arrived empty handed and late. I had to ask him so he sat down pulled out a pile of paper did about twenty sketches in minutes and handed them to me one by one. As I looked a bit longer at one he grabbed it back and added some smaller details and notes on the side and said 'voila' THAT is how that should be cut. He knew about pattern cutting and finishing, the lot. He had great humour. One night late when everyone had given their opinion on something he turned to me and said "what do YOU think" to which I replied " Karl you really don't want to know", he laughed and said well shut up then, honestly it was so funny. The fittings were always full of people and several famous models and sometimes a dog or two, his accountant, the head of Elizabeth Arden, the director of Vogue. One night when trying to get through the mob I said all we need is your concierge! He could still concentrate on fittings despite this crowd and turn out twenty dresses in one night, all fitted. We left sometimes at 2am, luckily I lived across the river and could walk, going over in my head all I had noted, it was an incredible time.

  The fact that this lovely bubbly intelligent and well spoken lady was his friend really changes my ideas on what Karl Lagerfeld was actually like.

  I love how his actual friend did the tour. One who could give a little bit more insight about how the late legend truly was

  The way she described everything with such enthusiasm and joy is fabulous. Karl's creativity is clearly visible in every room and piece he owned.

  When someone asks, "how do we accurately and thoughtfully celebrate a person?", show them this video. That aside, can we just talk how fabulous she is and how she works the dress?!?!?! She is a mood!

  His friend gave us a wonderful tour. I love her stories and her attitude. What a wonderful house! He had impeccable taste.

  Lady Amanda was the perfect person to showcase Karl's house. I've seen soo many videos and she's always close, lurking, inspiring, and being this friendly. She is a great reflection of the Karl very few got to see, with sense of humour, classy and always knowledgeable.

  Amanda is such a mood, she doesn't credit herself enough, I mean, she was Karl's and John Galliano muse, influenced Fendi, Chanel and Karl's own brand, also countless other creatives, she's as part of these brands as he was, I'm curious to know if she's still at Chanel and Fendi

  Can we just admire the dress your wearing? KL was a brilliant media and design interpreter.  I have his limited edition Karl-box, collab with Faber-Castel. Every color of the rainbow in it, including pure graphite pencils and other special art tools. The colored pencils are organized in colors for 5 drawers. Red/orange; yellow, blue, green and shades of grey.  Everytime I take the dust cover off of the black lacquered box he designed for the collection, I think of the rare person who created so many breathtaking designs.
