  My company gave me an extra budget during our last network refresh, so I went all out and bought Ubiquiti UniFi Etherlighting switches and cables. Now, everyone in the office takes the scenic route back to their desks just to pass by the racks and see how pretty they look 😊

  Retired Telephone and Network Engineer here. I have a Unifi Cloud Gateway Fiber, a Pro HD 24 POE Switch, a Flex 2.5g 8 POE switch, four Flex 2.5g 5 port switches, and two U7 Pro Wall access points.

  Loved this video and actually helped me out on my transition from a Mikrotik-only infra to integrating some Unifi equipment and I&apos;m loving it!<br>I&apos;d be great if you could make a video explaining Unifi configuration stuff - dashboard walkthrough and explanation of settings and their values. I think it would help a lot of people out. Even coming from MikroTik I found myself researching some specifics here.

  I don&apos;t necessarily disagree with anything you said here, but you also painted a very rosy picture for Ubiquiti while glossing over the many problems and shortcomings of things like the Travel Router, UNAS and UPS. Also the fact that anyone who buys these newer first gen products are essentially beta-testers.<br><br>For those looking to build the ultimate home network, I would definitely stick with their foundational products (APs, Switches, Gateways) and, for the time being at least, avoid their newer products until a second or even third generation offering comes out.

  Every network guide should start with power consumption, because you will pay hidden network monthly subscription. All the rest is secondary.
