"Backrooms", "Obsession", "Undertone", "Hokum"(to a certain extent) and now "Buddy"... 2026 is hell of a year for low-budget horrors)
Thanks for spoiler-free video, don't want to spoil anything before I actually go and see it. But I'm still curious:
1. When I read the synopsis about "mother, who's trying to save her child in some kind of another world of kid's TV show", I was wondering, are there any obvious similarities or drawn inspiration from "Angel" season 5 episode "Smile Time"?
2. Does it leave the same long-lasting impression and some space for interpretations as already mentioned "Obsession", or it's more straightforward?
3. Sometimes this movie is defined as "Black comedy" on differen sources. Is it actually funny like, say, "Willy's Wonderland" or "unnerving horror" aspect prevails?
