Disappointing that even with the reupload of this documentary by Docureal the basic historical misinformation presented by Professor Lindstaedt in the original upload still remain.
Let us begin (sorry, its a long list):
Not "everyone" who listened to the 1960 Nixon/Kennedy debate on the radio thought that Nixon had won the debate. Just as not "anyone" who watched that same debate on TV thought that Kennedy had won. An old simplistic cliché.
Lyndon Johnson did not lose the 1968 New Hampshire Democrat primary. He won the multi candidate primary with 49% of the vote cast. The fact that anti war candidate Eugene McCarthy came in 2nd with 42% of the vote cast was considered a slap in the face to a sitting President running for reelection.
Nixon did not take over in 1968. He was inaugurated in 1969.
The U.S. military draft was not implemented in 1966. That era of the draft began in 1948 and ended in 1973. Also the average monthly total of those drafted in 1966 was 31K. Not 40K as stated.
The 4 students at Kent State were not killed by the police but instead they were shot by National Guard troops. (While she pushes forward this misinformation the accompanying video shows a newspaper headline, 'Ohio Troops Shoot Down Students'). Additionally 2 of those killed were not protesters but were just a 19 and a 20 year old walking to class over a 100 yards away from the troops.
Heroin and marijuana were not newly criminalized in 1973 but had already been illegal in the U.S. for many decades prior.
Kissinger never bugged Nixon's phone line.
The District of Columbia is not a state.
John Dean did not reveal, to Congress, the taping system within the Oval Office. That was revealed by White House aide Alexander Butterfield.
President Carter did not block citizen Nixon from meeting with Mao Zedong. Mao died months before Carter was even elected President.
While post presidency Nixon had, at one point, only $500 in liquid assets, he had at the same time over $1M in real-estate assets.
That Professor Lindstaedt is considered a political scientist and is a published author should be embarrassing for those who are actually qualified to be either. That she conceivably has tenure and is possibly teaching students is just simply disheartening.
Docureal is knowingly pushing a poorly produced superficial documentary. Filled with multiple basic historical errors. Is it just for ad revenue? A sign of laziness? A dgaf attitude? Or just an overall incompetence by Docureal? I do not know.
I do know that Docureal will now have many good people, unwittingly, believe these basic real errors to be studied real truths.
Shame on Docureal. Shame on them!

Nixon actually enjoyed a renewed image in the 1980's as a popular elder statesman. Still, Watergate was never far behind.

Nice documentary.........The sadness that's not mentioned was the ordeal Nixon put his wife Pat through, as she deserved a better White House ending as Watergate BROKE her spirit..........when he made first public appearance in that small town.....Pat was notably absent...............and your right , as he was just a shell of himself as you could visibly see the perspiration bleeding thru his armpits....with a suit on. pretty sad all around

As someone who was in High School ftom 75-79 we were groomed to hate Nixon. We never talked about foreign policy in a political science class.
