Congratulations, Ben! You still did amazing, I am so glad you always mention how much you can’t take running a sub 3h marathon for granted! It helps us mortals to keep on grinding! Haha! I also ran Berlin, it was my first ever marathon and I also struggled having gotten injured right in the week leading to it, but I did cross that finish line in just over 5h, so happy for that! :)
Now to continue training and getting better! :)

4 minutes per km for each of 42km, it's insane as for a regular guy)

You know the guy at 15:38 ? This is Simone Carniglia, 2xGuinness World Record holder as fastest T1D athlete to complete the 6 World Marathon Majors.

Loving these videos, the blog style is humble, honest, and most importantly, relatable. We all face challenges with 'shoulda, woulda, coulda' and this is a great example of GREAT HUMANS doing GREAT things! x

I’m so pleased and proud this was my first Marathon, the atmosphere and crowd was amazing… loved it and hard to beat!
Sadly I didn’t get the time I wanted as I suffered a foot issue at mile 20, I was on course for a 5.10hr finish… 20mins better than I wanted, sadly crossed the line at 6hrs on the button.
