  harry choosing to befriend ron instead of draco at the start of the series is probably more important, harry was still young and impressionable, given his life under the dursleys there was a chance he'd even be a deatheater if he befriended Draco. Especially if you consider that the reason his aunt was so cruel to him was due to her jealous of his mother's magic

  Naming Dumbledore’s Army was Ginny’s smartest decision. It was that name choice that enabled Dumbledore to take the blame for the group’s existence and save Harry from persecution for it.

  I’d say Mollys smartest decision was seeing Harry and immediately taking him in as one of her own. <br>On top of Ginny, you put it as it was just boy love but it wasn’t the Harry love that made that the smartest decision alone, she gained her confidence and it allowed her to shine as a leader in Dumbledores army. Two characters that deserve much more respect than just love and marriage

  I would disagree about Ginny&apos;s smartest decision! I definitely think it&apos;s her breaking into her family&apos;s broom cabinet, which led to her becoming a professional Quidditch Player, and or, calling The DA &quot;Dumbledore&apos;s Army.&quot; That led to more protection towards the school, and protecting the students.
