  what puzzles me about the figures that keep been quoted about army sizes in BC battles like this one 70,000 v 30,000 = 100,000, where did they come from? and how were they fed and armed, even today it takes 10 people to keep one soldier in the field, the Human population of the earth back then was a fraction of what it is today, food production was much lower industry was in its infancy, the economics do not add up, try putting 100,000 soldiers in the field today and keep them supplied with all they need, it will bankrupt most Countries, I for one think the figures are exaggerated, as the saying goes the Victors write the history books.

  I really enjoyed the naration of this whole battle. I really could imagine myself there. I live in the desert and the heat can be brutal even with tannk top and shorts. If I had to wear that armour and ride a hot and sweaty horse in full armour. Man I would fall out and most likely get killed early in the battle.  Or fake an injury and get killed by my own guys for not pulling my weight.

  What a terrible mess of chariots. What’s wrong with the general? Roman legions are not so easily terrified of chariots and elephants

  Antiochus 'the Great' made the same dumb mistake that he did at Raphia. Losing control of the elite cavalry he led personally. Also not listening to the genius if Hannibal?? Arrogance beyond belief. He deserved fully his smack down at Magnesia.

  Stupid AI armour, helmets really detracts from the presentation. 28,000 Romans?? I don't think so.  Probably more like 35-50000. Never trust 'pro Roman ' historians. Just like 200 Roman cavalry on one flank at Cannae.
