Zone 6-b, NE Kansas. <br>What about last year’s wood mulch?? Is it okay simply topping New mulch over the old (after cleaning out old plant & random trapped leaf debris)?? Is adding mulch of yard leaves, compost & pine needles in the Fall helpful? If I notice any mold on the leaves I always <br>trash them instead of using them. Tx!!
