YOU. Yes, you. The politician or government official reading these comments. We know you’re listening, so listen carefully.

You need to understand one simple thing: without Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic is much closer to the Third World than to the First World.

People like me move to Punta Cana because we believe in this place. We want to build families here, invest here, spend money here, create value here, and bring a serious work ethic.

There are people like Frank Rainieri, of course, but they are the exception. The truth is that the level of infrastructure, education, and public management in much of the country is still far behind what this country could become.

If you let Punta Cana deteriorate, you are damaging the most important economic engine the country has.

Attract another 100,000 high-spending Americans, Canadians, and Europeans to Punta Cana and you will see what can happen. But first, you need decent infrastructure: roads, drainage, urban planning, waste management, wastewater systems, safe drinking water supply and safety.

Do you want better wages for local people? Then make it easier for people who want to live, invest, and spend money in this beautiful country, especially in Punta Cana. You will see much more than 5% GDP growth per year.

You literally have the easiest game in the world. Frank has already done most of the work for you. Build proper infrastructure and then take all the credit, as politicians always do. Nobody cares. Just do the job.

If you still cannot understand this, then the problem is not Punta Cana. The problem is YOU.

This is the most interesting interviews/content that you have done to date. As a person and investor that has been traveling to this country for many years this makes my passion for Punta Cana even stronger. People thought I was crazy to love this area so much but it has so much to offer on many levels. Frank seems to be a very humble man that not only Dominican people can admire but anyone from any country. Keep giving us the content and you will get the support you earned.

I am Ecuadorian, but I admire and respect everything Mr. Frank Rainieri has done, his business history should be given as a class in business schools.

Congrats Jaime. You just did what many here in DR have probably been trying to do for a lifetime. Having this sit down and finding out from the actual source of the country, leaves minimal room for many opinions. Let's have conversations based on facts, not feelings. Awesome.
