KB's career didn't progress like he wanted it to but his legacy is already secure.  He will always be a cornerstone player for the most important Cubs team ever.

i really hope KB can reach a place where he's at peace with the awesome career that he's had despite the last few he's had in colorado. a rookie of the year, MVP, multiple all star games, and maybe the most important world series ring in history. an absolute stud💙

I tear up/cry with all these discussions. Most/All of you World Series Cubs players may be aware of the history, but unless you are fan of a team since you are kid and you are now 67 years old and it looks like your team is going to blow tis chance to take it all and they pull it out an win, the years of frustration gone, you cry for joy and then you cry for all the family and friends who never got to see their team even get into a world series let alone finally win it(my mom who was ta the 45 series, my wife's nephew who passed away as a teen from cancer and whose Sammy Sosa jersey I was wearing all series long). It's a feeling I will never experience again.

These guys will FOREVER be cemented into Chicago sports history as legends. We got to witness a championship that we NEVER thought we’d see happen.. Everyone forgot now because 10 years ago they won. But that year was so magical, and I just had the feeling they could win it all. I was 20 years old and cried and yelled when these 2 recorded that last out. NOTHING can ever take away that feeling and memory, I hope these guys and all the Cubs players on that special team enjoy their lives forever.
