I developed 3D spacial awareness as a kid because I would ride my bike up to 7 miles away from home and I would always have this mental compass that points towards home evertime I left. Very easy to develop.

23:14 The phone was still within guidelines the phones had discord rigged to it so they could keep in touch with their gfs while on the trip also it was a tracker to make sure the rv didn't lose them

I also have pretty good spacial awareness. I almost never get lost even in new places. The only times I get kind of lost is if you take a train somewhere and you can't "feel" your old footsteps anymore kind of. But that usually solves itself after a short walk.

They likely got the idea to do this challenge from another youtube channel that does motorcycle content. That channel has a number of really well produced motorcycle road trips where they use a certain era motorcycle that they recently purchased/fixed. Then they bike across the continental US with little to no help, they of course can spend money on fuel but they usually do it with minimal supplies. I believe the series is called Common Tread, and one of their best videos was their trip to the Northern most point of Alaska from the Southern Coast of Alaska.

Imagine life before smartphones and google maps wiping your ass.. SMH

Really though, turn your shit off and talk to people. It's infinity more enjoyable, unless you're hopelessly lost then it's ok to cheat.
