  Great stuff. I recall that they completely reevaluated the longbow after bringing some up from the Mary Rose, as the pulling power needed to fire an arrow was 50% higher than had previously been thought.

  The commentators miss mentioning the most signficant landmark of the Battlefield today. That being St Mary Magdalene Church (where they film at the end of the documentary); the location of church is where Henry IV placed his standard and he gave a grant to build the church at the location in 1410. <br><br>The location of the church is said to have been the burial location of some of the fallen, so it marks the point at which the battle was its epicentre, if this is where the king indeed stood and raised the royal standard.<br><br>I recommend going there if you want to understand this Battlefield

  The point about Henry V&apos;s sense of &apos;destiny&apos; being why he acted the way he did is a very good one - it certainly explains his bold, almost reckless, battle tactics in his French campaigns.

  I’ve been to Shrewsbury many times….usually passing through on my way to my mother’s town of Llanidloes in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 I also have family nearby in Gloucester….. where the most beautiful cathedral in Europe is located…
