  What I love about this song besides the narcissism is the irony. Especially the first time she describes them as the working class, who are exactly the ones who "keep the world spinning around" and "pumping the gas"

  Something I like from this song is the use of lighting. When she's praising herself, the lights are pink and vibrant. When she's looking down at others, the lights are blue and gloomy, like her facade has fallen down and you can see past her "innocence"

  A lot of people thing Ocean's annoying, but she's really such an interesting and tragic character. She's a stereotypical gifted high school kid who worked hard to achieve what she did, but in the end it didn't matter. She may have had the upper hand in life, but now she's desperate and trying everything she can to stay alive because if she doesn't, her entire life will have been for nothing. She's the kid who relentlessly fixates on school because she thinks success is the only thing that will ever fulfill her, but by doing this, she completely neglects any meaningful relationships she has and becomes socially underdeveloped. Her character development is one of the best parts of the musical, and even though she might have objectively done more for the world than Jane, she made the right choice.

  &quot;Amazing how a horrific concept like social Darwinism can sound so appealing when you put a catchy beat under it.&quot; <br>-Karnak, the Official Soundtrack Album

  The whole song is great, but for some reason Jane standing up for &quot;the walmart greeter with an overdrawn credit card&quot; just really makes me giggle.

  I listened to the recording first and I legit thought Ocean was going around insulting everyone she saw on the street

  this was my first impression to ride the cyclone. i thought she was trying to be elected or chosen for something in a magic-themed university. i was very wrong, like very wrong

  I absolutely love how Ocean is not a typical mean girl character. She’s a nerd but she’s also definitely a leader, maybe self-proclaimed, but she does seem to be “protecting” the group during scary moments (like in It’s not a game/ it’s just a ride). She’s pretty, probably knows it (something about her attitude towards fast-food tells me that..), but doesn’t seem to know how to “use” it or doesn’t value it really. And I love how she’s a little clumsy and her body language is a little childlike, especially in this song. She’s so innocent really. And I also like how she can be bitchy and sarcastic (like what she tells Noel while trying to prove to everyone she actually loves them is hilarious), but also she seems so open and she’s smiling all the time. I guess you can say she’s TRYING to be nice, but my god she’s just so cute, like in this Every Story Has a Lesson part where she’s listening to Misha explaining the moral of Saw 5 and she seems so genuinely interested 😭😭 idk I just love Ocean a lot, there’s dimension you know

  The idea of this song is so interesting because she&apos;s not what the world needs, everyone she says the world doesn&apos;t need are the same people who keep the world spinning! Walmart workers, sandwich workers, single moms everyone like that keeps our world spinning around

  Something I find really interesting with this song is that instead of listing all of the things that make her worthy of living and a good person, she brings down the other people around her, which doesn&apos;t make her better than them, it just makes her a narcissist

  Sadly for Ocean, the only headline she probably was able to make was &quot;Six teenagers dead in tragic carnival accident&quot;
