You can tell Ben Mendelsohn was having the time of his life.
The raw emotion in all those "KALKITE" were hilarious.

Director Krennic's the key to all this, if we get Krennic working. 'Cause he's a funnier character than we've ever had in the movies

After Andor, Krennic may be my favorite Imperial that's not Vader. Tarkin was iconic, but Ben Mendelsohn has the most menacing chuckle I've ever heard. That whole party scene with Mon was amazing. What a festive evening indeed!

I’m glad this character was actually not just a one time off antagonist.

I loved Rogue One, but I’m glad that this actor wasn’t wasted on one film.

This would be a convincing cut for Ben Mendelsohn's Guest Actor Emmy nomination.

The way people talked about Kalkite in the meeting will always be the most funny thing ever the first guy who said it with such disgust

Among Imperials, Krennec sets the bar.
Like, sure, Tarkin is iconic in his own way, defining the identity of imperial higher-ups as "A severely British man", but Krennic brings to the table a panache and a willingness to chew scenery that's just delightful.
Imperial leadership deserves to ham it up a little. It makes them so much more fun to watch and hate for the bastards they are.
