  I’m from The Uk and 98% of country cannot stand jellied eels, eels and parsley sauce and a very minimal amount like that pie mash and parsley sauce combo

  I can confirm 99.9% of Londoners would never go to borough market !!  We not paying 10 quid for some strawberry and chocolate 😂the  tourists carry on getting ripped off

  Londonder here, 95% of Londoners won't eat eels, they are nasty. Its one old traditional food that won't be missed when it dies. The pies are supposed to be like that, they are flaky pastry on top and suet pastry on the base.

  British food is interesting. I was born and raised in the US, but have lived in Newcastle Upon Tyne for 20 years. A lot of the food is simple, not overly complicated, but that's because the produce, the fruit and veg and cheeses and everything can be of such high quality that you don't need to do much. But on the other side you have the years of rationing from the wars, so things like suet instead of butter and all the puddings made with stale bread hold a lot of nostalgia for  the older generations. British strawberries, though, are just out of this world. Growing up in Indiana even strawberries fresh picked were dipped in sugar, but here, they are so sweet, juicy and flavourful. If you ever get the time you should do a bigger tour of Britain, you drive half an hour and you are in a different region with different accents and different local foods. And everyone should visit Scotland to try Haggis and Scottish Salmon, Cullen Skink (my fave) and Cranachan.
