Glad to catch an update! I’m coming up on 40 in a couple years. My 30’s flew by. But I feel so much more mature than I was in my 20’s. Enjoying the small things in life. Especially gardening.

I really want to do bonsai on some avocados and pepper plants that I’m growing.

Не хвилюйся, зустрічати тридцятиліття не страшно (страшно буде потім, у 33-34 роки :))

Hey Scott, love your work. My mom brought me an unusually big avocado seed from the USA and it grows soo quickly and I dont really know what to do with it. Could you take a look at it and help me maybe?

 Hi avocado scientist
Should I cover my soil pot of buried seed with a plastic bag, to retain moisture, if yes then for how long (concerned about adequate oxygen supply to the avocado seed)

Also please do tell me what I should do as my top of the small baby leaves are becoming blacky, feels as they are burning😐

I still can’t get mine to bloom any tasty avocados! It’s 7 years old.

 Scott,
I emailed you about 2 weeks ago. Asking if I should prune my avocado (that I finally after 30 times got 1 to finally sprout). It is 2" high with a 1/4" diameter trunk. It doesn't have leaves on it yet, it just almost looks like am asparagus.
My goal is to create it into a bonsai that is 2' tall and a diameter of 6 to 8". Also have it be close to the shape of a pine tree or a umbrella tree.
