  i dunno if it&apos;s just me, but why is it that the most popular bands <br>&gt;make an amazing first album,<br>&gt;get insanely popular,<br>&gt;and then they never make anything like their first album again.

  Here&apos;s what I think about Coldplay. The more they lean into that alternative sound, I dig them. The more they lean into that pop sound, I can&apos;t afford to care.

  Viva la Vida is my favorite album ever, I love every song. I&apos;m sad you don&apos;t agree but I&apos;m secure enough to respect your opinion, and it&apos;s nice to listen to someone who doesn&apos;t look at you weirdly when you say you like Coldplay

  Back in those days, after Parachutes and A Rush of Blood, my hopes on their third album were on the moon, so I sailed the seven seas and downloaded it the moment it was released only to find out that the torrent i downloaded were a bunch of songs of a polish band named Myslovitz. The funny part is that those songs sounded like an alternate universe Coldplay&apos;s third album, were they never became millionaire celebrities who lost all the drive and inspiration that made them create their first two albums.<br>I love Myslovitz to this day.

  I&apos;ve been a Coldplay fan for a long time. Big fan of X&amp;Y; a good album to put on when I&apos;m tired of metal, dark folk or dungeon synth.

  Coldplay is one of those bands which everyone hates for the biggest hits 😔 (but they got those hidden gems)

  I find it baffling how even though they are one of the world&apos;s biggest bands they have NEVER released a best of/singles compilation. Even after their 3rd album, which you&apos;d think would have been a perfect moment to do it. In fact their early albums deserve a reissue with bonus CDs of b-sides &amp; rarities, as many were actually pretty good.

  X&amp;Y is one of my favorite albums of all time, but I have to say I agree with everything you have to say. I grew up listening to it a lot so it&apos;s got a special place in my heart even if it took quite a while for me to know which song was playing because so many of them sound so similar. Thanks for taking the time to do this, I haven&apos;t really paid attention to Coldplay in the last decade or so and didn&apos;t actually know half these new albums existed.
