I find it interesting that both The Dark Knight and The Batman adapt parts of The Long Halloween, but use different parts of it. TDK uses the Harvey Dent plotline, while The Batman uses the Catwoman/Falcone plotline.

The movie is insanely good. Probably my favorite adaptation of the character. I knew Matt Reeves would crush it.

Earth One is also a major inspiration for the movie.. Lot of the things I've seen from the trailers directly seemed to be ripped from it.

The mask looks very Earth One, what with the visible stitching. But yeah the trailers hinted at Zero Year influences too. And from what I'm hearing the sequels will likely be lifting more material from Snyder's comics.

I would honestly love to see more videos like this. Because not only does it give the general public an idea of where the filmmaker drew their inspiration from, but it also the presents the opportunity for them to become full fledged comic book fans.

All I’m going to say is Matt reeves did a fantastic job giving us a fresh new batman story. I’m excited to see more batman stories from him

It’s really cool to see Matt Reeves to look beyond the more popular Batman comics (Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, The Killing Joke, etc) and draw inspiration from additional stories.

I like how this is the most comic accurate Batman has been because this is the first worthwhile film where Batman hasn’t killed anybody
