  SEGA’s quality on future Sonic titles was actually hinted at in the lyrics to Speed Highway from Sonic Adventure. “Up and down and all around.”

  For anyone confused about my exclusion of the really bad spinoffs (like shuffle) I wanted to focus on main-series games, with the exception of Mania...which sorta falls into its own category anyway

  I prefer Adventure 1 over 2, but I&apos;m not sure I can be bothered to post a long comment explaining it. But I think Sonic, Tails and Knuckles all play well and take up the majority of the game. With the less fun characters only being short campaigns. Letting you chose who to play as as opposed to SA2 forcing you to play as other people in a set order is much better. I also think the Knuckles and Mech levels are much better in SA1. Whilst SA2, the majority of the game uses these play styles in inferior ways.

  &quot;Sonic Adventure doesn&apos;t know what it wants to be&quot;. <br>It does, it was meant to be a hardware demonstration of the Dreamcast so thats why we have modes Like Amy&apos;s bad Stealth segments, The Starfox sections or Big&apos;s Fishing Levels. All to showcase the Dreamcast&apos;s capabilities.<br><br>Still prefer it over SA2 though. <br>SA1 Music &gt; SA2 Music, Gamma &gt; SA2 Mech Stages, SA1 Treasure Hunting &gt; SA2 Treasure Hunting and SA1 Sonic Stages &gt; SA2&apos;s Stages.
