Metallica's Load and Reload are awesome! Here's 7 riffs that prove it.
Check out all the Toontrack plugins here: https://www.toontrack.com/

Bleeding Me is a masterpiece. The main riff. The bridge riff. The guitar solo. The drums. Metal perfection.

"Hero of the Day" is still one of my absolute favorite songs. The guitar tones are just so spot on.

IMHO Load/ReLoad have THE BEST RHYTHM GUITAR TONE, PRODUCTION-WISE out of all their records. It's fat, it's thick, it can be sludgy/doomy if you want it to but it can also thrash (those palm-muted alternate picking moments in the Ain't My Bitch chorus). You can include Garage Inc. as well as it's basically the same production. I think it's that Triple Recto or Wizard amp that James was using at that time?

Don’t forget at the end of King Nothing James says “off to never never land” to reinforce the Sandman pt deux theme

Real ones know there are some absolute gems on Load and Re-Load. House That Jack Built and Carpe Diem Baby are huge inspirations for my own music, the moods and the way the guitars play off each other in particular.
