KOTAK | Hearafter Live Session #25 | Live at Shoemaker Studios

Hearafter Sessions is a live interpretation series where nothing is hidden. No cuts, no retakes — just the full process unfolding in real time. You've heard these songs before. Now hear them closer. In this session, we present to you the one and only KOTAK, opening with "Pesta" from their 2016 album, "Long Live Kotak," and "Kosong Toejuh" from their breakout 2008 sophomore record, "Kotak Kedua," followed by their brand new single, "YOLO" — the very first release of their new chapter as an independent band — and "Bobrok" from 2014's "Never Dies," before closing out the set with "Beraksi," the song that first made them icons of Indonesian rock. KOTAK formed in 2004 after winning TV7's "The Dream Band" talent competition, catching the attention of Kahitna bassist Dody Isnaini, who became their producer and helped shape their 2005 debut album, "Kotak." After lineup changes brought in vocalist Tantri Syalindri and bassist Chua, the band's 2008 sophomore record "Kotak Kedua" turned them into rock royalty, packed with hits like "Beraksi" and "Kosong Toejuh" and earning them Best Rock Group and Best Rock Album at the 2009 AMI Awards. Across two more decades and albums like "Energi" (2010), "Never Dies" (2014), and "Long Live Kotak" (2016), KOTAK — now Cella, Tantri, and Chua — stayed one of Indonesian rock's most consistent forces. In August 2026, after 18 years signed to a label, they took their biggest leap yet: going fully independent with "YOLO (You Only Live Once)," a self-written, self-produced anthem inspired by Chua's own child. It's KOTAK doing what they've always done — just, for the first time in nearly two decades, entirely on their own terms. -------------------------------------------------- Songlist : 00:00 Intro 03:03 Pesta 11:45 Kosong Toejuh 22:35 YOLO 42:23 Bobrok! 58:55 Beraksi -------------------------------------------------- Performer : Vocal : Tantri Syalindri Ichlasari Guitar : Mario Marcella Bass : Swasti Sabdastantri Guitar : Lutfi Firmansyah Drums : Gilang Nanda Raharja -------------------------------------------------- Follow KOTAK: ⪼ YouTube: @KOTAKBandOFFICIAL ⪼ Instagram: Instagram: kotakband_ ⪼ TikTok: TikTok: kotakband_ ⪼ Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6oMp2...
