  I wouldn't hold out too much hope for this project to be completed, sadly.  Development has been off and on for many years.  it's a great idea and looks fantastic!  But it's a volunteer project and at one point the project died and they had to basically start over.  Now if Sega would have thrown it's support behind it and done something like this for all the classic games instead of Sonic Origins, it would have been incredible!  Can you imagine a HD version of all the classics in this visual style?

  There was a brief moment a few years ago when I would listen to Sonic 2 HD's remastered tracks on loop nonstop. This fan game is definitely one of my personal favourites.

  I&apos;m genuinely surprised that Darby has never realized that the &quot;water&quot; in Chemical Plant are, well, CHEMICALS.<br>I don&apos;t think that S2HD is actually still being worked on, but the small details are amazing.<br><br>-Anything gets slightly red when near lava<br>-Sonic and Tails get slightly darker when in caves<br>-Robotnik&apos;s machine in Emerald Hill gets visibly damaged when at 7/8 hits<br>-And Robotnik&apos;s glasses get cracked once defeated.

  It&apos;s cool to see people still playing this demo even in 2022. I can&apos;t say when we&apos;ll have a new demo, but we&apos;re still working on the game slowly. Many of our key contributors have been busy with things outside the project so progress has been slow, but we&apos;re still making progress little by little.

  The shading taken into this game is also really cool. Sonic and Tails will appear darker when in caves, or redder close to lava.

  Ok, I&apos;ve seen quite a few games converted to HD with, let&apos;s say, &quot;unfortunate&quot; changes on the graphics, but this definitely sticks to the original! This is sooo neat!!
