  what's so funny about this is that there are 14 year olds on ao3 who write 40k word fanfics and they are WAYYYY BETTER than the mainstream books and novels nowadays😭

  Booktok is so fucked. SO MANY people actually think that ai is the future of books is ai sum shi, when it can't even do basic writing and literally defeats the purpose of reading and writing unique literature...

  I'd rather read a amateur self published book than an ai book. Even if its bad its still human expression and that is worth more than generated slop

  The fact that AI books exist in general is so weird and generally just bad to me, but the fact that a lot of them (like Powerless) are MAINSTREAM is even worse

  The entire point of reading is to be able to see the world through someone else’s eyes—the eyes of the author and the characters they created. That’s how we broaden our horizon and deepen our understanding of what it means to be a human, to be conscious and to live. That’s how we develop empathy. A book written by AI defeats this point completely. It’s a sick perversion, something pretending to be human that tries to teach humans how to be one.

  What I hate the most about AI generated writing is that it just kills amateurs, because not only is finding a decent HUMAN writer made a trillion times harder now, but now they have to combat Ailegations

  Proud to have always hated powerless. The lines were either cringey or COMPLETELY copied from other books, and the plot was just a mashup of tropes from more popular series.
