Interesting fact: my uncle was in this movie as one of the soldiers in the beginning. Bay went to a military base in America to film the scene when my uncle was military police.

If it helps, the Decepticons typically take the forms of military, industrial/construction, and law enforcement vehicles, whilst the Autobots transform into more civilian or sports vehicles; there are exceptions of course, but it’s still a good rule of thumb.

The reason Megatron said his name upon his release is while he was in Stasis -- same principal as a human in a coma -- Megatron could hear the humans speaking, and calling him NBE1 for 72 Years and obviously was pissed about that and said "I Am Megatron" as a big 🖕 to the humans right before he obliterates the room

Its also why he attempted to genuinely spare Sam because Sam was the first human to say his proper name, so he unfortunately earned the respect of thr Leader of the Decepticons

Onto Barricade's (the police car Decepticon) quarter panel etched: "To Punish and Enslave" instead of "To Protect and Serve".
