  What iyanla is saying is that you have to fix within then the outside will be fixed! Its like healing a wound..you have to get to the root cause not just put a bandaid on it! People not in the  right mental space to help kids so we have to fix the reason for that.

  This issue is generational. &nbsp;I&apos;ve known some mother in laws who took up for their sons abusing their wives and making the women think they&apos;re doing something wrong that&apos;s causing them to get beat. Even after the son killed .

  Roland, I watched the entire segment. However, some of the answers Iylana gave to some of the questions were not in the best interest of helping victim(s). In particular, the mom who called speaking about steps she did to help her sons and his wife. Iylana stated to the caller that &quot;It was none of her business&quot;. In my opinion, it was the mom&apos;s business. What if she did nothing. Would this equal a death and or her son in jail. I say to that mom, keep getting in their business. I also believe that Iylana was using her experiences to judge what others should be doing. &nbsp;Listening to Iylana&apos;s story, nobody helped her. She constantly mentioned &quot;Do the Work&quot;? &nbsp;Roland, I appreciate you for making sensible suggestions. Some people might not be able to do the work. The work could mean to that mom &quot;getting in her son&apos;s business&quot;. It could mean helping a mom make plans to leave. It is difficult for some to leave. Doing the work could mean calling to check on the person who is committing the violence. You also have women who commit domestic violence. Doing the work could mean setting up meeting with the boys/teenagers/men in your family. &nbsp;Doing the work does not always mean to seek counseling. When the vast majority might not have resources to seek counseling. When domestic violence is happening, often family/friends know about. The goal of the conversation was to help men/women in domestic violence situations. My hope from this segment is that it helps those people that know and does nothing, it is past time for those &quot;do the work&quot; do something. Roland, I am part of tribe (family) we do the work every day.

  STFU! Iyanla created the chaos and made the situation even worse. She talked out of her a$$.<br><br>This woman is the devil in person. She doesn&apos;t bring families together—she drives them apart. She doesn&apos;t preach peace; she sows division, pain, and chaos.<br><br>What she did to the late DMX and his son was, in my view, absolutely despicable. Instead of encouraging unconditional love, compassion, forgiveness, and support between a father and his son, she promoted ultimatums.<br><br>A son telling his father, &quot;If you don&apos;t stop smoking, drinking, or doing this or that, I&apos;ll never speak to you again,&quot; isn&apos;t the foundation of healing. It creates distance instead of reconciliation and risks leaving both father and son carrying lifelong regret.<br><br>Then came the moment that breaks my heart the most.<br><br>Before leaving, DMX asked his son for a hug.<br><br>And she said, &quot;No. Don&apos;t hug him.&quot;<br><br>All in the name of &quot;tough love.&quot;<br><br>Then DMX died.<br><br>The question that still haunts me is this: Did father and son ever get the chance to truly reconcile before his death? Or was that hug—the one DMX asked for and was denied—their last missed opportunity to show each other love?<br><br>That thought is heartbreaking.<br><br>In my opinion, this wasn&apos;t healing. It wasn&apos;t wisdom. It was emotional separation disguised as therapy. For a few more dollars, I believe Iyanla promoted a version of &quot;tough love&quot; that, in this case, left behind pain instead of peace.<br><br>Repent. Choose compassion. Be human. A heart of stone doesn&apos;t heal broken families.<br><br>Enough.

  The caller Karen was very ignorant. She doesn&apos;t get the fact that people kill kids. This has been going on since the beginning of time. A mad person who is &nbsp;hopeless believes they have nothing to lose. She said so can&apos;t accept that. Well when the family has to make funeral arraignments is that when they accept it?

  Thank you Mr.Martin an Ms. Iyana this was a really needed &nbsp;conversation .I have sons an grandsons &amp; nephews their really good MEN AN BOYS an I give praises to the Most High. It breaks my heart for our blk men an women to b going against each other. I LOVE MY BLK MEN i want nothing but the best for them BOTH an to take better care of their HEALTH .To b clear i understand its NOT ALL. KEEP PUSHING THX
