  Try using a very bright LED instead, inside the fish, you can get a much brighter light which should help shine through better without the risk of heat damage

  You know what? Sometimes I don’t trust the power of a small amount of glue, so I end up using a lot—even for a small craft—just to make sure it attaches strongly. (Even though that coating part at the end helps.) But what you did on the edge of the bamboo strips really changed my mind. I also love how you didn’t measure the paper first and just cut it later, because I always thought making things symmetrical was a bit too strict. Honestly, I sometimes hate how I overthink the “rules” of the method—it makes me feel less imaginative. Thanks for this inspiring crafting process, it’s so relaxing and refreshing.

  there is such simple pleasure in making something and being able to say that it was yours alone. Knowing that when someone is invited over and they ask where to get one, that you will tell them nowhere, nowhere but from you, at least. Not to be gatekeepish, but to feel like you created beauty that could not be found elsewhere.
