  Britney was singing about depression and mental health issues when it wasnt even a thing that people cared like nowadays. If this wasnt she asking for help, saying how she was feeling at the age of 18 while being one of the most famous humam being in the world at that time, I really dont know what it was. And she continued: Not a Girl, Overprotected, Everytime's music video and 2007 came. Britney only needed love, to be listened to and had people around who actually cared for her, and instead she was alone, going through a divorce, depression, being harassed by media and paparazzi, suffering from people's judgement and therefore losing her kids and not a single soul was there for her. Sad, really sad.

  I'm so sorry, Britney, as a child I judged you a lot, thinking that you were just a silly blonde who had gone crazy from drug abuse, that's how they taught me, how society filled me with prejudices towards you, and now I can't stop crying listening to this song, feeling guilty for being part of that society. Now that I've grown up and matured, I can understand all the pain you went through

  This song is about her. You can clearly see the sadness in her eyes. It's sad that her family sold her to the music industry

  This song is actually heartbreaking.<br><br>Edit: It encapsulates the reality of fame - that it is the exact opposite of what it has been made out to be, that which we were all portrayed to want as a generation. Idolization is a cruel thing and fame is isolating. There&apos;s darkness, sadness, control, &amp; complete life-stealing.<br>What a broken society when so many have to feel that fame is the only way financially or otherwise to have a decent life.

  This song hits so different knowing how Brit was being treated; exploited and controlled by her own family who are supposed to luv and support u. &nbsp;Plus the critics and the haters. It&apos;s &nbsp;a shame. She was always so positive and had a smile that made her glow. I&apos;ll always b a fan of hers. ❤

  Britney walked, so your faves could run. She was basically crucified by the media and y&apos;all laughed about it, and now newer artists can defend themselves without being called &quot;crazy&quot; or being mocked.
