  I can get a cursola TODAY if i want. I dont have a zarude at all, and have no way of getting one. I think that makes cursola far more common

  I think for at least one category, you should’ve combined all pokemon of the same evolutionary line into 1 combined „rarity“ entry (with perhaps some special rules for special evolutions like Annihilape and such) since its reasonable to assume that in the actual pokemon „world“, if at least one evolution of a Pokémon’s line is available on a route, there‘s likely going to be some babies (previous stages) or elders (final stage) nearby.

  I think Glameow gets ignored because we have enough Normal type cats. At least there's a niche for something like Purrloin to be included

  "Anyone with an internet connection or email address could get a Zarude" if only. That event was a disaster and I had to wait for the GO event to get mine.

  If you're counting Darkrai and Shaymin for Legends Arceus, shouldn't you also be counting Jirachi and Mew for BDSP?

  Nice video. The only thing i would have looked further in was which evolution line was rarest. Because sure.. you are very unlikely to find Crobat in the wild, but i would say it is not that uncommon for people to catch one and evolve it since it is such a good pokemon. I think it would have added some more interesting information and also fix some of the gen 4 bias due to the many evolution methods.

  "Zarude was available online with internet" - the pokemon company didnt send out the email until the date was passed so couldnt get zarude. also time zones mattered for me in this regard. the 2nd distribution never happened here either. at least cursola showed up in a pokedex so you knew it existed. zarude didnt initially.

  To be technical, Jirachi is obtainable in BDSP as a gift. I get that including remakes would skew the data toward the games that have been remade more (i.e. Kanto), but you could've included new additions without increasing the total number of games. It sounds like you just built all these limitations to serve your own narrative.
