  A powerful sermon. However, Rabbi Cosgrove must go further in explaining how it is possible to share the same space with Jews who declare they want to dismantle Israel as a Jewish State and promote a on-state or binational state solution. We must have a base-line, and it seems that a pretty good one is agreeing that Israel existing as a Jewish State that extends full civil rights to all citizens (as it does today) is non-negotiable.

  Great talk as usual by R Cosgrove.<br>There is no real credible position for being anti-Israel as a Jew. &nbsp;57 muslim states and only the Jewish one shouldn&apos;t exist and should recoil from defending itself from incessant attacks? There is no credible argument. Its a lot of hair splitting and discomfort with the blood libels and being vilified. The whole thing is based in fear of being disliked in larger society for weakly identified Jews who have made progressivism their actual religion. The vast majority know almost nothing about Judaism and were just born into it. The other motivation is the need to individuate from their parents. As every generation has to collectively and individually. So they stake out the anti position. Their parents are pro Israel so they are anti. Its not substantive. Its archetypal and emotional and reactive and coupled with conformity to their social mileus.

  You criticize the policies but what about the responsibilities. Benjamin Netanyahu is the best leader Israel could have had during these difficult times. I remind you ‘October 7th, another attack while you give a speech here about what Zionism means. It means Jews have a home and it needs to be defended. Wake up
