  The kids give up their GCSE years to dedicate themselves to the clubs. There needs to be a program where the kids that are rejected are given full funding for education to get themselves what they've given up for the cause. Everything they've learnt can be redirected into coaching qualifications / sports science etc. needs to be turned into a positive for them. Along with immediate counselling to cope with the transition.

  To think that Kobbie Mainoo got his breakthrough this young and get into the Euro does really show how much of a generational talent he is in his academy.

  Had the pleasure of meeting Tony Pulis whilst he was watching his grandson play. Bonded over Newport and him being in the same year as my mum is school. Great guy and his joy seeing his grandson play at academy level was obvious. It’s clear it means the world to him. Great documentary!

  Well done TONY PULIS on being the host on this series, enjoyed your days as a Potter. You obviously have respect in the community from Sky and the Managers interviewed ! <br>SO many ideas and different opinions over time, I have to look at it a few times, looking forward to Episode 2 . <br>Thanks Tony !

  “Just let them play”<br><br>Also…<br><br>“You’re not good enough”<br><br>——<br><br>Fine line between expectation and reality. Sometimes, it can often be environment. If you work, you can find a place that fits.<br><br>With hard work, sometimes that dream requires going a circuitous route - see Robertson, who’s won it all and on course to be Scotland’s record caps holder. Had to go to amateur and back again.
