  My wife was told by random women on the internet that I wasn't good enough but they didn't know she was an alcoholic. She divorced me and 1 year later she was dead....  I kept her alive for 8 years, her "friends" killed her.

  My ex told me she wanted to see if she “could find something  better” and if she stayed with me she “would look back at her life with regret”.   That after 23 years of marriage and two kids.  She regrets it now. The grass was not greener for her. Happily, I found greener pastures.

  My wife of 42 years decided one day that she was not happy and did not want to be married anymore! WOW! Unhappy? What exactly does that mean, she is not getting everything she wants? I realize now that she was holding me responsible for her happiness and there was nothing I could do to make her happy. Now she is even more unhappy and wants to come back to me. I realize that nothing has really changed and she would still hold me responsible for her happiness and I just can't put myself through all that again.

  My wife did the same thing. I changed everything about myself to the point that I had no idea who I was. Nothing I did was good enough and it just made me regret being with her. We was married for 16 years and the year she turned 60 she decided she wanted to play the field. We have been divorced for over 6 years and I have not dated anyone because I don't want the hassle. She text my buddy the other week asking about me and I told him to just ignore her. She didn't care how I was during our marriage so she doesn't deserve to know how I am doing now.

  MY ex cheated on me with a drug dealer because in her words 'he was exciting and I was boring and stable'. Well it was exciting when she went to jail for HIS drugs in her car.

  Was in a similar situation with my ex.  Barely recognized myself after 10+ years of that BS.   But after she divorced me, I finally found my person.  She is kind, caring, and she appreciates me in a way that my ex never did.  It’s funny how going through something so painful can lead to something so amazing!
