This is about an ex girlfriend of Corey’s. Paul (bandmate that passed) loved it and tweaked it. It became their song. Paul died and they dedicated it to him.

A friend of mine was a Veteran who experienced the Gulf War. He came home with a seriously tortured heart. His escape was through Corey Taylor's rage filled lyrics with Slipknot, and his deep, moving artistry in his band, Stone Sour. Corey Taylor & Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam took on new meaning for me through him. As we listened to their music in the dark...I felt it...his pain, his release through it. He went on to find the love of his life. A year after they were married, she passed away unexpectedly. In his grief, he passed away a year later at his own hand. I appreciate everything Corey Taylor & Eddie Vedder put out, as fully as I can...not only in his honor, but because, through them, he reminded me how important it is to STAY in touch with those emotions. We need these outlets...MUSIC IS THERAPY!! I will always be saddened by his passing, but I understand that some ugliness of this world is unbearable once you've seen too much of it. FOREVER grateful to him and all of Our Soldiers. Rest Peacefully, Jeff (and his true love, Susan). 💕

Corey Taylor is talented with his voice, carrying a note while screaming. Just like Chester Bennington (RIP), Benjamin Burnley, etc.

Corey Taylor is just a brilliant writer and musician. He has two different bands that lets him express the two different sides.
