They don’t rightly divide. Simple as that.

So much charismatic confusion could be cleared up by having pastors teach through books of the Bible while taking note of the historical context and teaching verse-by-verse (expository preaching).

I found expository preaching after decades of Christian life, and it has helped me in my walk with Christ SO MUCH! 🥹

Peace. ✝️

Wow...you have read my thoughts and perspective on this issue. I have discovered the glory of the New Covenant through teachers like Chuck Baldwin and Andrew Farley and others and have been blown away in the reality that almost no churches make this a top priority to understand, teach and live out.

It now makes me wince when I hear believers asking or singing to God to forgive us, cleanse our hearts, come down, fill our hearts, fill this place, come to the altar etc. There is no special place or specific location inside a church where the Spirit's ministry happens. We do not NEED to lift our hands to please God or come forward or kneel or whatever. Our belief in Christ is our worship. It grieves me to hear these ideas being regularly communicated at church. And the preoccupation with gifts, signs and wonders...forgetting how Jesus says a wicked and adulterous generation seeks them. Entire denominations are literally built around regularly seeking these things. As though Jesus and the Holy Spirit are just avenues for more of whatever they think they need. I pray the Christian church as a whole would learn that the New Testament always interprets the Old and study Hebrews more so we stop quoting and teaching Old Testament/Old Covenant concepts and verses for things we already have now in abundance in Christ.

This past year into my first year of retirement. God has been opening up my eyes and ears about what I believe aka… Charismatic movement. I wasn’t 100%%% all in, I call it being on the outskirts of the movement. I listen to you and other YouTubers and also The Unsunday Show. What we have done to Christianity is appalling. The “CHURCH” is unrecognizable. I’m feeling so blessed that God protected my mind. I repented for making Christianity something He never made it to be. Thank you! For your teachings I really appreciate it.😊

I hear! New covenant mind set! I am in the presence of God EVERYWHERE I am, and if I move... there He is still. He is ALWAYS within me. I do NOT need to keep inviting Him...

I love what you said in the end about God using the things we’ve been through to allow us to comfort others.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ

Thanks Jake. Our church is starting to lean toward the NAR. It’s disheartening.

One of the reasons I left Pentecostalism is because they mix covenants & in the process compromise the integrity of the Gospel.
