Sub zero looks older because in this timeline the dragon medallions power was so overwhelming it aged him.

Oh my god, his neck is going into his neck, beyond his neck. He's got multi-necks!

To elaborate on Raidens story in this timeline, he was an elder god after MK4, but he dropped his status after Liu Kang was killed by the Deadly Alliance

MK Deadly Alliance just screams "2002 edge-lord", especially because of the Adema video (with spiky hair and everything). I think this is the Mortal Kombat that I've sunk the most hours playing, I had the PS2 and GameCube versions. Also the collectibles were amazing ("Cooking with Scorpion" anyone?) and I just felt like finishing the game with every character, even if the game in the end is just average.

I love how Steeb knew his role with his unintentional pun 4:25 😅

That first Kung Lao costume is the best he ever had in my opinion. The fact that the hat is on his back and the animations for when he has to use it are tweaked so he actually has to reach for his back instead of his head is a neat detail considering the game it came from. Would love to see a similar costume in a modern MK game.
