The Chilean accent was placed at the end because it was the most expected. We are the best country of Chile.

En Chile se le dice "pega" al trabajo porque se originó en la construcción del puente de cal y canto en Santiago, en 1767. El trabajo consistía en pegar piedras con cal, entonces al decir que vamos a la pega haciendo referencia al trabajo que realizaban este se empeso a popularizar y de ahi que se le dice asi

Deberían poner videos de dos personas del mismo país hablando español. Es ahí cuando se hace complejo entender. Si dicen frases sueltas no suele, necesariamente, ser tan complejo

Nobody told in the video that Chileans have an informal dialect, which have unique verb conjugations. Together with slang could be hell for non-Chileans, cachai ? (I had a Chilean boss). That's a VERY important point from my idem of view.

I think all or most of Spanish speakers from anywhere can understand the rioplatense Spanish (Argentina, Uruguay and part of Paraguay), which has significant differences with outside the South Cone. But the informal Chilean, oh, god... Boss level 😁

I'm Chilean 🇨🇱 and in fact, the first Spaniards who arrived in Chile during the colonial era came from different regions of Andalucía (also Extremadura and later Basques), and that is why the Chilean accent and voseo have that particularity, speaking very quickly and not pronouncing the "S" so much in plural words since it comes from the Andalusian language.

Another Andalusian legacy is the Huasa culture (peasant culture from southern Chile, the huasos and huasas) comes from Andalucía, since there are similarities in the folkloric costume of Chile and Andalucía, both in men and women. Also the Cueca and the tonada show Andalusian influences. It emerged in the kingdom of Chile during the colonial period of the Spanish Empire (1558-1810).

In the video they showed a Canarian guy, and yes, there were times when he sounded like Chilean, but at other times he didn't, such as, for example the pronunciation of the "J". The truth is that the Chilean accent doesn't resemble the Canarian one since there was little presence of these. Those who arrived in Chile throughout its history were Andalusians, Basques, Extremadurans, Castilians and Asturians.
