Was Jack Taylor right to keep Enterprise privately held under Taylor family ownership for the entire arc of the company's existence, or would the family have built an even larger empire by going public at some point along the way, however much that might have compromised the operating culture his grandchildren still run the company on today?

Gain FREE access to secret full-length documentaries on wealthy families "too scandalous for YouTube" by joining our newsletter: https://www.substack.com/@oldmoneyluxury

Being from Saint Louis I know the Taylor name well. One of the last family owned large business in Saint Louis. Excellent business model and like most well run family endeavors treat their employees much better than most companies. Jack Taylor was a Navy pilot, impressive. Lindbergh Cadillac had the first black Cadillac salesman in the midwest outside Chicago. Bill Saunders sold quite a few Cadilacs to my parents. The Taylor's have left an indelible mark.

100% true or Defo True?...It is amazing to see how Enterprise became such an enterprise. If you are in the UK, you would assume they are a British brand but its an American and Warren Buffett says something positive about the founders

Amazing story of American entrepreneurship. They should be teaching this in schools not communism.
