Ren's auto-immunity issues stem from the fact that he had misdiagnosed Lyme disease for 6-7 years. It ravaged his body, his nerves, his brain, and his mental stability. Additionally, since they mistakenly diagnosed him with M.E. (chronic fatigue syndrome), bipolar disorder, and various other things during those years, he also suffered from the side effects of those medications. He has been getting proper treatment for the last 7 years, but he still has a host of issues (unable to process most foods, etc...).

The first time I heard this song it was like a fog lifted. <br><br>That voice had been winning for so long I’d all but given up.<br><br>That was two months ago, since then I’ve started writing again, and I’m working on getting back in shape.<br><br>It felt like Plato’s cave and Ren was tapping on my shoulder and pointing to the exit behind him.

Even if you watch this over and over, this song will still hit you the same way it does the first time. Although he's not mainstream, (thank God), this song deserves to be nominated for a Grammy.
