started as a custom rom, got big because of custom rom community promoting them to friends and family, but now they are locking their phones and making life even harder for custom rom users, it's bad enough google are wrecking us, they had to add up with their dumb bootloader unlock policy

Now that Xiaomi will be slowly locking bootloaders like an Oppo/Vivo. It is nice to look back on when Xiaomi was for the fans

I really love Xiaomi. When i was thinking of buying a new phone, i either wanted an apple or a Samsung (even though my previous phones where poco and redmi). But for some reason, i wanted to stick to Xiaomi. I bought the 14T at a very good price, and i got to say i am amazed. Glad i did that, personally i trust them more than any other phone company.

The first Xiaomi I bought was Redmi 6A. Now I currently own a Xiaomi14T. I'm also planning to buy my mom a Xiaomi 15 as a birthday present.

Back in the day, Xiaomi had amazing phone insurance options. Bought my first Xiaomi in 2014 in China, took out the insurance for Y49/$7, phone...fell in the sea. Got a replacement in the mail no questions asked.

12:07 it's not just Xiaomi's business model. Most if not all of Chinese businesses has the "sell as many as possible for as cheap as possible" business model. They'd rather have 10 loyal customers that buys something for a dollar every day, than 1 customer who buys something for $10 every week.
