  As a Captain Slow myself, I felt for those punters thinking they're all that and a bag of chips when a bloody GS goes past them like a dose of salts.

  You know, traction control might have prevented the slide out... but I guess it's too intrusive for the track. Nice seeing a big GSA doing this on a track. While most everyone else is trailering to and from the track, on GSA ride to the track, track it, then ride it from the track, having fun the whole time 🎉🎉

  At California Superbike School at Sonoma last April, we were on S1000RR's. The track photographer, when scooting back to his base, was easily keeping up with the expert group on his 1250GS. I expect that part of that was also knowing the track really well but he made it look so effortless.

  I took an 1150GS to Knockhill on Tourance Mk 1's. I'm not a racer so settled for the intermediate group but it was hilarious. Molten rubber on the tyre shoulders and drifting it out of the hairpin. Most passed me on the straights but I got a lot back on the corners and it was one of the best days riding I've ever had.

  it is way more fun to ride an underpowered bike wide open than a monster at 75% on the track.. done both,  R1 vs SV,  SV was hands down slower (by a tiny bit) and 2x fun

  I remember years ago Dirk du Plooy over taking superbikes on Kayalami South Africa in corners and the grass on a bmw1100 gs.
