Excellent demo.
Your 15 minutes structured path to "Practice makes Progress" right from spider, to chord changes using metronome exercises is a proper measure of progress. This is organising efficiently toward meaningful success.
Thank you Lauren, you are a great motivator.

Excellent lesson! I am one of THOSE who plays about an hour every day but I play the same 12 songs over and over again. This lesson reinforced what I need to do to get better.

Great job. You highlight important things we don’t think about. When I was in my teens and learning to play (I’m 73 now) I didn’t know squat about proper practice. I played what was fun to play and I rarely challenged myself to do difficult things. I am so much wiser now and learning how to practice with purpose, to do what’s initially difficult until it becomes second nature…automatic. Proper practice is the key to joyful progress. I often say that I “plateaued” 50 years go. I learned to play well enough to just strum chords and play dozens of easy songs. No more. I’m doing daily proper practice, thanks to you and other teachers who explain proper practice and all of its critically important elements. I’ve been working on finger style guitar for almost 2 years and I’m thrilled with where I am now and where I’m going with my wonderful Martin D-18. Thanks for what you do, Lauren.
