Caller 1: please realize you are still healing, but also you have an amazing opportunity for your kids to experience your family support and YOU. Also, take care of yourself. When your kids are with their dad, use that chance to fill your cup. Self care, community, friendship- do something outside of your comfort zone. Your kids will see your bravery and your adaptability. Your kids are not scarred for life - they are adaptable and highly resilient. Go easy on yourself. Create memories while you can with your two precious kids. Your marriage didn’t work out the way that you planned, but it can be the biggest blessing once you let go of any guilt and realize the past has no healthy interest in your future. Make sure all of the correspondence about the inheritance goes to the attorney. Any accidental letter ends up at the house, who knows what he will do. If the marriage survives then part of the survival will include him being mature enough to know that she had to keep it secret.

That last woman just thinks she knows everything until counter points are brought up. Also the fact that she’s so willing to just keep the lie up and not let anyone be 100% sure and she was just going to continue looking her sister in the eye knowing she’s possibly playing into the dishonesty.

Being away from one’s kids for long stretches is not a “new” construct. People have left their kids with nanny’s or grandparents for generations while they went off (often for prolonged periods of time) while they worked or visited.
