Sad to see those beautiful old world colours painted over in white.

Seeing what the place looked like at the beginning and then seeing the enormous progress you've made, mostly with your own labor, you must feel a great sense of accomplishment.  Because of you, this villa will soon stand as beautiful and as proud as it did when it was first built!

I was absolutely screaming to myself when i saw those beautiful wine barrels go - what could be more in keeping with an Italian Villa. My son lives in Italy with his Italian wife - she would have had a heart attack if she had watched it all/

A colorful and vibrant year and a half renovation and reviving of a abandoned historical house. Great job guys and thanks for sharing your journey and humble beginnings. 😊❤

I miss the beautiful terra cotta color of the  outside. It was so Italian!

I renovated a 100 year old house in San Francisco, much on my own as you are doing, so I know what you are going through. I have an incredible admiration for what you have done here. Best of everything in the future.

Watching that pink bathroom being stripped hurt my soul! That was one of the most elegant features of the villa. The most Murican thing you could do!

You are doing a great job. I can see why you brought it, the ceilings and floors and stairs are stunning 👍👍

Its personal taste but I really love the apricot colour typical of so many period italian buildings. It is very characteristic. It glows in the evening and morning sun. I certainly wouldnt call it orange at all. It would be a keeper for me.

You, your wife and father bring new meaning to the concepts of patience, focus, team work and persistence. I am sure this will be a beautiful home when it's finished and will be something of a legacy for you and the community it's part of. Wishing you continued success and fabulous results in the coming year and really looking forward to seeing it too. Ciao for now :)

It just proves the adage, 'how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time'. Your dogged approach to all the numerous tasks and just keeping going has brought you to this wonderfully exciting point where so much will be the aesthetic, and cosmetic touches, turning this broken and neglected property into a wonderfully functional and stylish home. Well done.
