  I just showed this to my father on thanksgiving. He is 63 years old, loved blazing saddles and all the classic comedies, he did 30 years in the military. Dude had never seen anything from this movie. Mans was giggling like a twelve-year old girl. <br>A damn delightful time

  The funniest part is on the secondary audio track of DVD commentary. RDJ started talking in the black sergeant’s voice, then when he took the wig off, he switched to the Australian voice, then when his name is shown in the credits, he finally switches to his voice….thus not dropping character until he’s done the DVD commentary! Pure comedy genius!

  The movie was not saying that black people don&apos;t read scripts.The joke is that robert downey jr&apos;s character is a Method Actor and method actors are people who get totally &nbsp;absorbed into the role that they&apos;re playing that even inbetween shoots they still stay in characte. The humor is that even when they&apos;re not filming the movie he&apos;s stilll playing that character... so the line, &quot; i don&apos;t read scripts scripts read me.&quot; As much like his earlier line, &quot; i don&apos;t drop the character into the d.V d commentary&apos;s been done&quot; is basically making fun of method acting being completely self absorbed. There are Hollywood stories of notorious method actors who won&apos;t talk or interact with the crew during the whole movie except as the character they are playing. So to robert downey junior&apos;s character the script isnt important.... he&apos;s important... nothing to do with black people not reading scripts...

  Gotta give it up for RDJ, he was just coming back from his addictions, and he nailed this parody so well, he&apos;s neither Black nor Australian, and I think he was hilarious!<br><br>A lot of us grew up with him, it was nice to see his comeback!

  The &quot;I don&apos;t read the script&quot; part is because Kirk Lazarus (Downey Jr.) is such an amazing actor. Full of arrogance.
