Hi, I was part of the Mainframe animation crew on Warplanet. I really enjoyed your clip and learned a few things I did not know. I do believe that Mainframe wished for more than two seasons.

The toys didn't sell?? I successfully begged my poor parents for the whole frickin set, with the big evil planet too! Those things were the coolest shit out there at the time lol

You should do the Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles show next. More late 90's CGI fun.

Mighty Max might be a fun topic to piggyback off of this one.

I watched Shadow raiders as a kid, and I really enjoyed it, but I never even knew that it had a line of toys.

I had one and bought one for a friend’s birthday.
I remember watching the show as well, knowing it as “War Plants.”

I loved Shadow Raiders as a kid. I think it was the first show I watched that had aliens that felt... truly alien, especially in the Ice people and the Beast forces, and the story felt so mature to me. I had no idea it was even a toy line until like 15 years later.

Mainframe was my late 90s. ReBoot, Beast Wars, I was obsessed!

Mainframe really nailed all their shows, this one was great, warping the Beast Planet around to another place with that one weird prison asteroid (something like that from my memory) to somewhere else seemed like an okay ending which still left the door open for more.

I recently watched the 1st episode of this show and i was actually blown away with the story telling. If you made a adult version of war planets you could just use this show as the story board.

I genuinely thought I imagined this show. I saw like 2 episodes when I was a kid. I remember waking up at 7am just to watch this show and it wasn't there. I've spent the last 30+ years thinking I dreamed it.

One moment I always remember that’s worth pointing out is the reason planet Fire is destroyed. It’s because its world engine is damaged so it can’t outrun the beast planet. So instead the Vizier takes control and tries to defiantly ram it into the beast planet, sacrificing himself and if I recall correctly momentarily damaging the claw by colliding with it.

A kamikaze run with an entire planet wasn’t something you’d usually see in a kids show.
