  Zapytała mnie niedawno koleżanka z pracy (mieszkam w UK) czy pytam się ludzi "how was your weekend?"  Odpowiedziałam, że tylko wtedy kiedy mnie to interesuje, czego ona nie potrafiła zrozumieć. Zapytałam ją czy pamięta odpowiedź każdej z osób, którą zapytała. Odpowiedziała, że nie, na co ja: bo Cię to nie interesuje. So, what's the point?

  It's funny that after decades of looking down on Poles with superiority, sometimes even outright contempt, the British are now raving about Poland. Personally, I think it's nostalgia for what they themselves have been losing for several decades-their own national culture. And if anyone thinks Poles have forgotten how they were treated, they're making a big mistake.

  After buying a train ticket from Kraków to Gdańsk, I regretted not checking whether there were any quiet-zone carriages. I was sitting in an open carriage, but there was no loud noise throughout the entire journey. That peacefulness during the almost six-hour trip was very relaxing.

  Dlaczego Polacy są powściągliwi?  Mamy bardzo trudną historię od setek lat walczyliśmy o Ojczyznę. Gdy była wojna każdy spotkany Polak mógł też współpracować z Niemcami albo Rosją. Mieliśmy podziemne wojsko, sądy szkoły...było dużo konspiracji, dużo odwagi ale też ostrożności.  Poprzednie pokolenia dziadków ( wojna) i rodzicow ( komunizm) żyły w traumie. Dlatego nie ma wśrod Polaków " how are you! I'm fine! And smile", ale w sercu mamy zakorzenione" Bóg, honor, Ojczyzna!" ❤ i mamy wielkie serca, tylko trzeba nas poznać. 😊

  Coming from Britain over a year ago, I amazed at the quality of the road network. No potholes! Even if one does appear it is quicky taped off and repaired the next day. Even the mountain roads are a joy to drive on.

  My Polacy jesteśmy bardzo pewni siebie ale tą pewność nabyliśmy z czasem. Wcześniej Polak za granicą wstydził się, że jest Polakiem

  Mieszkam w UK 20 lat jako Polak w brytyjskim środowisku i mogę powiedzieć że to bardzo trafne opisanie różnic pomiędzy tymi dwoma bardzo różnymi środowiskami .. pozdrawiam Polaków i Brytyjczyków 😂

  Well... These queues are still annoying for us so if everybody starts to talk to the seller or cashier about the weather or exchange pleasantries too long time people behind you are simply pissed off. It&apos;s just waste of time. You can say, we&apos;ve got an national allergy for queueing acquired during communist times.<br>The difference on zebra crossing is about something else. Of course, there&apos;s some idiots in cars who disrespect the rules so you must always be extra vigilant when crossing the street (in both countries). More significant difference is overall aproach to the problem - in the UK when there&apos;s no traffic people goes freely, when Poles wait for green ligts even there&apos;s no car in sight.
