  I'm female and I agree with all that Umm Khalid says. It doesn't mean we are self haters, it means we love Islam and understand that as believers we need to submit to the laws and guidance of Allah, and obeying your husband and understanding your rights means your needs and not necessarily your wants.

  Honestly it's scary that "Muslim speakers" are talking about islamic Law in this manner. Outright lying against Allah and His messenger and fabricating the deen. It makes me disgusted. Barakallahu feekum for THE correct approach on this, for dissecting this nonsense and shedding light on the truth. May Allah accept your efforts.

  For some reason I find in society a lot of push for women to have something else other than family to focus on, in the name of contributing to the society! Whereas the greatest contribution to society is children who can grow up to be like sahaba.. for which we need two people.. father fulfilling his role and mother fulfilling her own role.<br>However when both parents are handling role of the father and the responsibilities of mother is not attended by parents at all rather outsiders being paid for nurturing their kids just so that the parents can go outside to make society a better place.. this idea is so stupid! You could make society a better place from the very roots.. inside your home first!

  It always boils down to epistemology. I don&apos;t know what exactly is in their hearts, but it seems like they are trying to fit Islam into a uniquely American/western worldview. In reality, Muslims have to be be critical of outside cultures and ideologies through the perfectly coherent and rational critial lens of Islam.

  As a revert, the thought of being able to stay home, not go to work, take care of my kids, house and make beautiful food is dreamy. I wish I were able to not go to work. Unfortunately we can’t not afford to live without my paycheque for my part time job, on &nbsp;top of my husbands salary. London is too expensive. &nbsp;🙈<br>And a side note, my kids are in year 1 and I can see the bad influence school has on them, from bad behaviour, foul language, stupid trends or songs they bring home. Not to mention the after school tantrum like they are releasing a pressure valve once they enter our home.

  Loving someone for the sake of Allah is the truest and purist form of love, and loving someone for the sake of nafs (feelings) is just loving the benefits you get from that &quot;love&quot;. &nbsp;so yes, we should do our obligation out of love, that is love for the sake of Allah.
