  Manila I choose this city between the two. Been there many times. Been to Indonesia and Jakarta and Bali 3 times. I&apos;ve travelled to 64 countries and territories around the world since when I was 12 years old. I&apos;ve lived in 4 different continents: 1) Asia (lived in most parts of Southeast Asia specifically Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong), 2) Europe (France for 3 years, as well as Spain, and Switzerland), 3) North America (USA for 15 years), and South America (Brazil for 3 years). With a total of 64 countries and territories that I have been. I did not only had vacations in all those 4 continents, but I&apos;ve lived there. So I think I know a little &apos;more than what meets the eye.&apos; <br>Manila is one of the most well-known capital in Southeast Asia like Bangkok, but mostly people from other countries prefer to go to the other islands- which is true. Manila and the Philippines has a different vibe since it&apos;s more Western in language (English), culture (Spanish and American), food (American and Spanish), and religion (Christian), and clothing and fashion. &nbsp;Manila is more comparable to Bangkok in terms of vibe and people. There&apos;s a big big really big difference between the two cities of Manila and Jakarta. <br>Jakarta on the other hand is a big and sprawling city of Indonesia, it&apos;s the business capital. I would say that it is more comparable to Kuala Lumpur. Just as Singapore to Hong Kong, and Shanghai to Tokyo. When in Jakarta, I did not have a lot of where to go, and I did not have a lot of what to do in Jakarta, - as this video suggest because it&apos;s more controlled, that&apos;s why I went to Bali after 5 days in Jakarta. There is a language barrier for me as well, as it is not English, and the food is distinct and unique in flavor and much spicier unlike Western. <br>Correction to this video, I went to 3 big museums in Manila, there are massive museums there. <br>And there are more more far more foreign expats in Manila, and all over the Philippines because English is spoken and the food is more relatable to Western palate. Manila has only 14 million people, not 30 million, therefore it&apos;s only half of what the population of Jakarta. <br>Bali is what I fell in love, that I went there 3 times and I&apos;m planning again to visit Bali. <br>Correction, as an expat and traveler, Manila has definitely has luxury too, specially in BGC and Makati- as Makati is rank as one of the wealthiest neighborhood in Southeast Asia, second to Singapore by GDP. <br>Now this is only my opinion.

  I think manila is more internationally. Almost every one in manila speaks english and better accent. Easy to communicate, maybe thats why more foreigners are moving to the philippines. People are very friendly and helpful thats very comfort.<br><br> jakarta is the same but more organized &nbsp;beautiful and more cultural good for vacation &nbsp;but i still choose manila to stay.<br><br>Actually i love both.   I STILL CHOOSE MANILA NOT BECAUSE I EVADE TYPHOON BUT I LIKE THE CULTURE, KINDNESS OF PEOPLE, I LIKE THE FOOD, AND ABOVE ALL ENGLISH COMMUNICATION.
