So so interesting! Thanks for posting (Always confused about the add black or raw umber thing!) So helpful to lay the palette out this way too. I'm struggling with palette organisation and nailing values without going over and over(!) this makes perfect sense...I read the comments to see if there are any helpful discussions and honestly what is wrong with some people? I hope you don't end up focusing on a couple of bad apples...your time in doing this is very much appreciated. It's fascinating how the old masters worked, in all the creative arts we need to understand the foundations of the past and your skill and what you bring to it is clear. To anyone reading, I did, I think, the first course Ben produced and it was amazing, that technical knowledge mixed with his creativity I would thoroughly recommend. Hopefully one day I will be able to do another...

Thanks for the longer form video. Those who love painting will sit through hours of tuition. I bought a Thomas Jefferson Kitts video that's 15 hrs of amazing teaching. Love it.
